Rates
Before choosing an Au Pair you need to decide what salary you are willing to pay.
Remember that the person you chooses will be looking after your children. For complete peace of mind, we recommend to pay the extra cost that go with choosing an experienced and qualified care giver.
Au Pair Rates
Please note all rates are calculated per hour or part thereof.
An hourly Au Pair rate of:
- The suggested hourly rates are as follows:
- 0 - 20 hours worked per week R80.00/hr
- 21-31 hours worked per week R75.00/hr
- 31 hours or more worked per week R60.00/hr
- Full day minimum rate of R400.00 per day
ALTERNATIVELY
Monthly Au Pair Salary of:
- Au Pairs employed for 2 hours per day earn = R 3 200.00 per month
- Au Pairs employed for 3 hours per day earn = R 4 500.00 per month
- Au Pairs employed for 4 hours per day earn = R 5 600.00 per month
- Au Pairs employed for 5 hours per day earn = R 6 700.00 per month
- Au Pairs employed for 6 hours per day earn = R 7 800.00 per month
- Au Pairs employed for more than 7 hours per day earn from R 9 000.00 per month
The above rates are not inclusive of travel, which is usually reimbursed at AA rates.
The family may decide to include a travel allowance into the monthly salary but due to fluctuation petrol prices we suggest you reimburse the Au Pair at AA rates.
Please note that the above is a guideline only. The salary is entirely at your discretion.
Au Pairs generally earn between R 50 - R 100 per hour based on consecutive hours on any given day. Many factors can be taken into account (Au Pair's age, experience, qualifications etc) when making your decision.
Nanny Rates
Our Nannies are not Domestic workers they are older ladies that avail themselves to look & take care of your baby during the day. The have their own transport and valid driver's license. Private rates start from R 50 - R 90 per hour.
Babysitter Rates
- R 120.00 per hour or less
- R 100. 00 per hour or part thereof for 1 hour or more
(Rates apply for 2 children only, a further R 30 is payable for a third child. One Babysitter for every 3 children is required.)
Please note: You must be registered in order to book your babysitter online!
Tutor Rates
- R 180.00 per hour for 1 hour or less
- R 150.00 per hour or part thereof for 1 hour or more
ABC Au Pair's Fees
Registration Fees - No upfront registration fees! A registration fee of R 270.00 is payable once we secured an Au Pair for you.
This amount is used to cover all our administration costs, including our advertising required to find you the right Au Pair/Babysitter
The registration fee includes on free babysitting hour.
Calculating of Placement fees:
- Au Pairs annual salary (including travel allowance) multiplied by 10% = Placement fee
Temporary Placements
- Should you require an Au Pair for less than 6 month, then we will charge an upfront once-off placement fee of 20% of the Au Pair's total salary for that period.
- Should you require an Au Pair for more than 6 months but less than 12 months, then we will charge an upfront once-off placement of 15% of the Au Pair's salary for that period.
We will do all we can to ensure both you and you child's experience with ABC Au Pairs will be both pleasant and memorable.
